Kareem Abdul-Jabber grew up to be more than 7 feet tall! Kareem’s father and mother were both very tall. When he was 9 years old, Kareem was already 5 feet 4 inches tall. Kareem was raised in New York City. He went
to Power Memorial High School and played basketball for his school. He went to college at UCLA. He played basketball in college, too. At UCLA, Kareem’s team lost only two games in three years! After college, Kareem made his living playing basketball.
